What to review when considering a different parcel auditor

Start with the actual service and terms you have today. Compare fees, review coverage, reporting, open recovery work and the tasks your team still performs. Then discuss the proposed service and information needed to begin; do not assume every provider has the same transition requirements.

Document the current arrangement

Write down the carriers and accounts involved, your shipping volume, the services the auditor performs and the reports your team uses. Identify the questions you want a different arrangement to answer. That could be clearer cost analysis, more understandable recovery status or less work left with internal staff.

Use your agreement and current provider’s answers to establish what is included and how you are charged. Review notice, renewal and access arrangements with the appropriate people in your business. This is an operational comparison checklist, not a substitute for reviewing your own contract.

Compare work, not assumed limitations

Ask which invoices and shipments are reviewed, who files eligible claims and who handles questions requiring investigation. Ask what analytics, reports and expertise are included. Use each provider’s actual proposal to compare coverage, responsibilities and fees.

Franklin checks every UPS and FedEx invoice one by one and audits every shipment. It flags and files eligible GSR and void claims and handles broader billing recovery through manual work and email where needed. Ongoing analysis and reporting help the customer understand the program, not just a refund total.

Keep recovery records understandable

Identify open issues, submitted claims, approvals and credits already posted. Ask how the work already in progress will be accounted for and who is responsible for the next action. Clear status records help avoid confusion about what has been done and what remains outstanding.

A recovery-sharing percentage may apply under your current agreement’s terms. Franklin charges a separate subscription and customers keep 100% of recoveries. Compare the actual periods, amounts and services. A conditional 50% example is useful arithmetic, not evidence about your current provider’s fee.

Know what stays the same with Franklin

Customers keep their carriers, account ownership and shipping process. Franklin supplies the parcel tools, maintenance, expertise and people; the team guides service setup and explains the information and access needed to begin while your business continues shipping.

Do not put passwords, account numbers or confidential invoices into the public inquiry form. The first conversation can establish the appropriate scope and next steps before supporting information is exchanged through the agreed process.

Make the comparison useful for your team

Bring three things: a short description of your current audit arrangement, your carrier mix and weekly volume, and the question or workload you want addressed. These give the discussion a concrete starting point without asking your team to become parcel experts first.

Franklin’s intended outcome is parcel analysis, reporting, auditing and recovery work handled through a subscription while your people focus on customers. Submit an inquiry, then optionally choose a time with a Franklin Parcel team member. A saved inquiry remains available for follow-up even if you do not book immediately.
